Entry #47

Second Outfit Entry

On this dress I made my own pattern for everything, the dress, shoes, socks, purse, parasol, and the petticoat.  We found the satin or like satin material at Hobby Lobby and bought the lace to go with the dress.  Then I drew up the pattern and sewed it.  At some point I came up with the accessories.  My dress has a dropped pointed waist.   It has a sewed down lace collar and 2 pieces of lace down the middle and 3 pieces of lace at the bottom.  It also has lace cuffs.  On the shoes I used the purple material with lace over it and foam for the bottom.  There is a little flower on top of the shoe.  On the parasol, I used the purple material,  lace,  and a candy stick and little wooden balls.  The parasol really closes!!!  On the socks, I used my mom`s old socks and sewed the lace at the top.   For the petticoat, I used an old scrubby with lace over it sewed onto white material.  As for the purse, I sewed lace onto the purple material and glued on the strap and flower (it doesn't really open).  If you ever read the Mandie series, I think that it goes with her college day books.
