2013 Fashion Design Challenge
Entry #22
Hi! For my entry I decided to make a Hawaiian themed dress inspired by Kanani
I then went shopping for fabric. While at the store I saw a super cute sundress that looked Hawaiian but did not fit the dolls at all because it was huge. I cut it and planned it out and had my grandma sew it for me. Then I made a cute belt made from yarn and Velcro from an old shirt. Next I put a cute bead to secure the adjustments I had made to the new top of the dress. Then I sewed the neck tie to the inside of the back of the dress. This was my first outfit ever homemade by me. (So I would definitely consider myself a newbie) Here are all the pictures.....
The original sketch
The dress in the middle of being remade to fit the dolls
After the dress was fixed I was preparing to add the finishing touches
The yarn I used to make the belt
An old bracelet of mine was taken apart to add details to the dress
The dress was almost finished
Ta-da!! The dress with a cute stitch change purse, flower clip, and flower on the belt
Please vote for me because I worked really hard on this dress!
