Lacopolis Clothing and Accessories for Dolls

For my outfit, I really wanted an outfit that looked like it could be worn at a carnival on the pier, something with a little vintage twist. I decided on a peplum top with a flowered fitted skirt paired with a beaded necklace and a clutch.

I then went through my stash to pick out just the right fabrics for the project. I ended up using a flowered knit for the skirt and cotton for the peplum top. For a little texture, I decided to use a purple rib knit for the clutch to contrast with the smooth cotton of the blouse. I ended up lining the clutch with cotton as well and finished it with a pearl button. Both the peplum top and the clutch are fully lined. The necklace was made with purple glass beads and strung on silver ribbon for a little fancy twist. When doing the photoshoot for the finished outfit, I realized that the necklace could also be used as a headband and a pretty sash. As you can see, I liked it best as a headband.

The following pictures are how the outfit turned out. It was certainly a very fun project!
