2013 Fashion Design Challenge
Entry #12
From Factory L
Modern Princess
I wanted to design a whimsical modern princess dress that is sure to turn heads at the next party. My design starts with a white, three tiered, tulle skirt. The bodice is white with hand placed green and blue crystals and a back tie with a bow. Accessories include a tulle flower headband, blue crystal ring, bracelet, and silver gladiator sandals. I have created a polyvore mash up of my original idea. The final dress is a tad different but still what I had in mind.
The next pictures are my work in progress. I hand placed every crystal on the bodice and it truly glows in the sunlight.
JJ is kind enough to model Modern Princess for me. Her blue crystal ring and earrings are made from scrap-booking brads. The ribbon bracelet glows just as much as the bodice. The headband is a white ribbon with a tulle flower and a green center crystal. She looks like a goddess on the swing and the crystals on the dress match her gorgeous eyes.
